Unity in Struggle

This poster makes the case that everyone in Indonesian society could play a part in the struggle for freedom. Its caption, "Marilah mendjamin makanan Pahlawan2 kita" (Let's guarantee food for our heroes), calls on families to feed the fighters, who are shown as disciplined and clear in their strategy. The message is to help soldiers carry out their duty to defend Indonesia, with families urged to supply food and other necessities. A smiling soldier embodies the unity of people and army, of the home front and the front line.
