Reclaiming West Irian

This cartoon relates to Indonesia's campaign to bring West Irian (Irian Barat, present-day Papua) under Indonesian control. A dove appears in the background while a man figure is shown with a man on the land of West Irian. Its text reads "Perdjuangan perdamaian adalah satu dengan perdjuangan melawan imperialisme dan kolonialisme. Hanja dengan hapusnja imperialisme dan kolonialisme perdamaian dunia terdjamin", the struggle for peace is one with the struggle against imperialism and colonialism; only with the end of imperialism and colonialism is world peace assured.
