Grogol Camp

Camp Grogol in Batavia is depicted in a pencil drawing map alongside an overview legend drawn from memory. The green areas are highlighted with colored pencils, and the barracks' locations are faintly numbered on the back. The legend describes the Japanese internment camp from 1942 to 1945, also known as the Evacuated Insane Asylum. The map details various locations within the camp, including the hospital and residences of Indonesian guards. It was drawn by 11-year-old Jack Stibbe in 1942, with an English translation provided separately.
