Glad Tidings to Dr. Kuyper

In this political cartoon by Johan Braakensiek, a group of nine representatives of the Dutch East Indies, dressed in Western clothing, appears before the Dutch statesman Abraham Kuyper. Published as a supplement to De Amsterdammer on 26 November 1911, the print engages themes of missionary work, colonial government, and political satire. It survives as a lithograph in the Rijksmuseum collection.
