Dutch East Indies and the Missionary Society

This commemorative print was produced in 1872 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Nederlandsch Zendelinggenootschap (Dutch Missionary Society) and its activities in the Dutch East Indies. At the center is a map highlighting regions such as Minahasa, East Java, and surrounding islands, visually anchoring missionary presence across the archipelago. Surrounding the map are sixteen vignette- style scenes depicting missionary encounters, local communities, and landscapes.
