Don Kisot Belanda

This 1960s political cartoon shows a figure mounted on a horse, lance couched, idling in front of a large windmill marked "Sedjarah" (Sejarah, "History"). A pennant on his lance reads "Hollandia," the Dutch colonial name for the capital of Netherlands New Guinea, present-day Jayapura. Beneath the illustration runs the caption: "Don Kisot Belanda: 'Akan kunantikan kintjir angin itu!'" (dari madjalah "Hongaria"), which translates to “The Dutch Don Quixote: 'I will await that windmill!'" (from the Hungarian magazine).”
